Sharing the Good News

Luke 2:14:  Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on Earth peace to those on whom His favor rests.”

Jesus’ message was of good tidings to Humankind. When Christ was born as a human on Earth, the angels gloriously sang in Luke 2:14:  Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on Earth peace to those on whom His favor rests.” God knows who will respond to the Gospel message and arranges circumstances so that the message reaches them.  God leads us to the people we need to share with.  When we share the Gospel, here a few things which will bless our mission:

  1. Pray before you start. Please do not stand at crossroads, buses etc. to “catch” people. Do not bombard people’s spaces when you share the Good News. You are antagonizing them to hatred and sore wounds. Do not debate, do not argue, be respectful, do not use the “sinner tract” model of sharing.  This was written by someone in the West and now the whole Christian world uses that model. The Holy Spirit will convict them of sin in His time. Let them come to you. The crowds gathered to Christ. The hungry and seekers will come. Do not try to convince someone through debate. Let the Holy Spirit pierce hearts, pray more and talk less. Show them love! Ask the Holy Spirit to fill you with Love for them.

  2. Find a quiet spot. Jesus often sat on a boat or along the beach. He shared one-on-one.  He was invited to dinners by “sinners” and struck up deep conversations with them. His conversations were thought provoking, intelligent and opened avenues for deeper spiritual Truth and deliverance.  He often started on a common ground. We must not grab people, force them or threaten them to hell if they don’t accept. Accepting the Gospel in fear is inviting an emotion and not a spiritual encounter. It is the Holy Spirit who convicts.

  3. He told parables, talked about the Kingdom of Heaven, His Second Coming, the New Heaven and Earth, the signs of the end-times, and the judgment. Through His Gospel, people delved into a deeper relationship with God. He healed the sick and delivered the tormented.

  4. Jesus never started by telling people they were going to hell. He did mention hell to the Pharisees.  Hell is taught to the church as they study the Scriptures.

  5. The gift of signs, wonders and miracles is given to the pure believers to bring the Glory of God on Earth and that more will believe. Pray for the gifts of the Spirit so you can help the people and always ask God to grow the fruits in you as you share the Good News. This is the good news!
