September 22 – Shielded by His Presence
Psalm 91:9-10: If you say, “The Lord is my refuge, and you make the Most High your dwelling, 10 no harm will overtake you, no disaster will come near your tent.
Life is unpredictable. We do not know what will happen… The comfort that soaks me in this situation is that God has given us a promise on earth, the promise of protection from harm, danger, evil and sudden death if we ask.
When we are close to God, we hold the legacy of protection that no power, principality or person can take away from us. We have the mark of protection of the Blood of Christ over us, angels with flaming swords that guard us and accompany us wherever we go. We have no fear when we are in the Lord. No weapon formed against us can prosper.
Dwelling in Christ is our deepest most powerful protective place to be on Earth and a mighty weapon. For putting on Christ daily is our mighty supernatural armor given straight to us from Heaven. No danger or malicious attacks could strike us without warning. Our homes are safe and protected. Sometimes we wonder if this is just wishful longing for protection from God, when we hear of others not being protect, being cruel victims of some violence. I have come to believe that many of us are oblivious of Christ’s presence of protection or we take it for granted. This means we never ask for it, we never pray for our daily protection as we step out of the house. God takes our words very seriously. He said, “You have not because you ask not!”
When we ask Him, He commands angels to guard us and we walk in the company of angels daily besides our guardian angel. Isn’t this so amazing! They protect us from falling, tripping, slipping and accidents in miraculous ways!
Love holds us through and through, the mightiest force in the world and we will have the mighty blazing fire of the Holy Spirit in our hearts daily!
