September 20 – The River of Life – Part 1

September 20 The River of Life – Part 1

Revelation 22:1– “The River of The Water of Life, sparkling, clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb”

I have now reached to my new destination, my home overlooking a river, a narrow river, green, surrounded by tea gardens and the river would be rushing and roaring in the monsoon, unlike its calm flow now.  The Holy Spirit poured out fresh thoughts on the River….

  1. Revelation 22:1–2 refers to “the River Of The Water of Life, sparkling, clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb.” The apostle John, in his vision of the New Jerusalem, describes the River as flowing “down the middle of the great street of the city.”

  2. This magnificent Water of Life” is not natural physical water as we know it. Rather, this Water flowing from the Elohim’s throne is the Water of Eternal Life, powerful in supernatural properties, crystal clear to reflect the glory of God in a sparkling dazzling, eternal stream.  It emanates from the Throne of Elohim symbolizing eternal abundant life flowing from God to His people.

  3. The true seekers of the Living God who created them will always be quenched in their thirst on their journey of seeking God.  If they seek the Creator, they will find Him, and Christ is revealed expressed image of His glory. Behold Salvation dawns on those people! John 7:37-39 Now on the last day, the great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, “If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink. (Spiritual Drink!)

  4. Throughout the Bible, Water is a common symbolic representation of eternal life. Isaiah refers to drawing water from the “wells of salvation” with joy (Isaiah 12:3). Jesus told the Samaritan woman at the well to take from Him the Water of Eternal Life so that she would never thirst again spiritually (John 4:13–14).

Those who believe in Him, Jesus goes on to say in John 7:38, will have Streams of Living Water flowing from them. Water is an appropriate and easily understood symbol for life. Just as physical water is necessary to sustain physical life on earth, living water from the Savoir is necessary to sustain eternal life with Him.
