September 13 – Overcoming Darkness with Light

September 13 – Overcoming Darkness with Light

John 8:12 Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows Me will not walk in darkness, but will have the Light of Life.”

If you have ever felt suffocated by the thick midnight blackness of a night after watching a scary movie or hearing a ghastly tale or even seeing hauntingly disturbing news on TV, well you will know how frightening that darkness is.  A darkness which has no light, no hope and seems to grab you with its hands threatening to throttle you.  A dark night waiting for a loved one to recover from illness, a long dark sad night on losing a loved one.  That pain is indescribable and comfortless.

Remember, when things get so dark and morbid and overpowering, know negativity is trying to drown you in that hopeless darkness to overpower you, pin you down and try to keep you there.  If you love Jesus and He is your Savior, and He is the Light of the world.  He has overcome this darkness and all the forces of hell can’t put out His Light!  Call on Him.. call upon the Light of the world to help you and He will.  It is that simple.  Jesus is only away a call.  Sometimes it is so simple that we want to complicate everything in a horrendous maze to confuse ourselves and multitudes of others along with us!

Remember, even the weakest in Christ is stronger than the devil when the Light of the World, Christ is with them.

Jesus’ Light glows in the dark, and we are to focus on His light, glowing in the dark and launch out and reach for Him and the Holy Spirit is within us, so call upon His help to pour out His light upon you and deep within you so your entire soul is infused with Heavenly Light, so bright and powerful in that dark black thickness that demons and Satan would shudder to see this Light.

The darkness has to flee in the presence of Light. Darkness is repelled by His Light, and darkness has to yield to God’s Light.  So focus on the Light, focus on Jesus in the darkness, and in His presence, His Light will glow and in Jesus, supernaturally you will start to glow in the night and darkness and demons will flee.
