The Joy of the Lord
Zephaniah 3:17: He will take great delight in you, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing.”
Our joy in the Lord is our strength when we have a deep abiding relationship with God. He rejoices over us and imparts new strength to us. His JOY will then start abiding in us. We get joy by abiding in Him by communion where we talk to Him and listen back to Him.
Meditate, Fortify Yourself We get joy by meditating on His word and promises. We get joy by praying for others. Believe me, you will start to rejoice when you pray for others! As we delight to do His will, He will add joy and strength to us. In doing in His will, we are not looking for appreciation from humankind for many times we will be disappointed. If our joy is complete in Him, we will never be disappointed. Our weakness is when we look for human affirmation, and don’t get it and get disheartened, depressed and lonely.
Ask Ask Him for that joy, meditate on the Word and on His character and the good things He has done for you. In time, you will experience His joy, or you may receive it instantly. In this joy, you can soar through any situation in life, rejoicing where you will worship in the glory realm!
Receive In the glory realm, now wait upon Him silently and receive. He will rejoice over you with singing. It is no longer about you and what you need to do. He takes over and gives you joy that transcends all earthly boundaries.
Sometimes the simple things seem so silly that we don’t want to practice them. Such as Naaman refused to bathe in the River Jordan, which was the miracle cure for him. His ego rose up and full of pride, he refused. Once he humbled himself, he received his healing immediately. Practice His presence and pray, meditate, ask and receive. Once you learn this way, this is the only way you will chose to live, it is glorious.
