October 15 – The Power of Submitting and Resisting
James 4:7: Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
Paul tells us to make no provision for the flesh and take every thought captive to the obedience in Christ. As we know, it is the mind where all negative thoughts and also wicked plans are hatched. Passivity and inactivity in the mind are sure ways to get defeated and get overtaken by our weaknesses. James 4:7 tells us to submit to God, resist the devil and he will flee from you. Resist negative vibes in the atmosphere.
In active resistance, there are three things we can do to submit to God and resist the negativity and demons:
Submit to God. Put on the Heavenly Armor daily, walk in the Belt of Truth, Helmet of Salvation, Breastplate of Righteousness, Shield of Faith and Shoes of sharing good news. This is your armor. Cover yourself by faith with the Blood of Jesus. The Blood of Jesus establishing our legal rights in the spiritual world. The demons see the Blood and flee.
Don’t accept negativity that is hovering over you, you can sense its approach. Be it, anger, jealousy, envy, gossip, revenge, you know! When that weakness seems to be overtaking you, rebuke that which has its attachments to evil and rebuke it
Take the Word of God and read victory verses aloud.
