The new trolls inside attacking potential party voters are doing more damage to INC
When Congres party leader, Rahul Gandhi was alarmed at the vicious attacks from the Bharatiya Janata Party IT cell legions of trolls, he asked that Indian National Congress youth counter them with a different message, one of positivity and love, countering them with truth to bring down the ranks of trolls.
Perhaps thousand of Congress warriors rose with a new powerful movement, resonating to “fight” the BJP trolls which was the right thing to do. They needed counteractions because a lot of innocent people were denigrated with rape threats, death warnings, and filthy expletives crossing all levels of sanity.
The sole motive of the BJP trolls was to threaten the victim to fear, suppress, and finally extinguish them either causing them to leave and in extreme cases, out of fear of being “exposed” by some information the BJP trolls caught, some people were in danger of becoming suicidal. Such is the motive of trolls. They want to destroy your personality, your individuality, your spunk, your spirit and eventually take your life.
The movent that INC warriors took on was spectacular and vigorous hitting back strongly at the toxic BJP trolls, and over time, one saw many such trolls’ handles being removed and disappearing from Twitter to the relief of lakhs of Twitter users. Peace started to reign and the BJP trolls took on milder forms of attack over time fearing the avalanche of attacks from the INC warriors.
The Six Kinds of Voters
In every nation, there are potentially six types of voters. It is crucial to understand the psyche of these voters to analyze the sudden direction they evidently will take. Party Volunteers aka INC Warriors need to study the different kinds of voters, their mentalities, psyche, expectations, needs, desires, and anger. It is never the duty of the party warrior to start abusing the voter because they assume the “voter” is a “hidden Sanghi” or they are “pseudo-liberal”. Now, what on Earth is a “hidden Sanghi”? India consists of 80% Hindus, approximately among others and likewise, people will express different opinions because the human brain is so complex and situations vary for everyone.
NOTA Voter and non-Supportors
The NOTA voter is one who is always suspicious, cynical, angry, upset, and often sits on the shelf waiting for the political leaders to act. NOTA voters at one time thought political leaders were magicians with magic up their sleeves which they failed to deliver. Rageful at the purported betrayal of leaders, they stopped voting. Usually, these people are ignored, but party supporters need to make them understand the power of their vote and the difference it will make to the outcome of elections if they want to save the Constitution.
On the Fence Voters and Supporters
There are many people who are just watching politics unfold. They may grudgingly join political camps, and suddenly, if for some reason, trolls rise to attack them for a certain opinion, they may disappear altogether and never want to be around any political field to vote on the day of elections.
Still Forming Thoughts Voters and Supporters
Many people may be pro-INC but still are forming their opinions like plasticine. They are flexible, viable, emotional, and think along all lines. Some may prefer another political leader over another and that is well within their right. Opinions change very fast too and it all depends on how the top political leader portrays him or herself. A sudden loss and the party supporters’ emotions hit rock bottom and some fall into a well of depression. It is important for INC Warriors to help people out through opinions with well-documented information and not attack them when they express a different a chain of thoughts.
Critical Voters and Supporters
Critics are always there in every line and citizens will be critical of their parties. Criticism does actually help a party to grow. If one is so insecure that critics can break up a party, they are very weak indeed. The party cadre needs to build up such a strong foundation that critics will only look like powerless complainers. It is futile for INC trolls to attack critics complaining about the party.
Faithful Voters and Supporters
There are those who will vote for the party for generations as their grandfathers and parents did out of pure loyalty. They are always there, and it really does not matter to them what the party does or does not do. The faithful voters and supporters are the ones no one has to worry about and they will be there to the bitter end. Many times, they are hardly noticed, rewarded, or applauded and are often taken for granted.
Fanatical Cultic Voters and Supporters
The most dangerous set of voters and supporters are the blind followers of a leader. They are drawn to the leader more than the party. Their charismatic leader may make a gun and shoot down five party workers and the supporters would proclaim he or she is right. Emotionally strung with the leader, the person becomes more important than the nation or Constitution. They are suddenly submerged in gray swirling mists in fading twilights, not checking out the political highlights.
This behavior of worship of a party leader is cultic. The group is focused on their leader with fanatical zealous devotion, eager to expand the group to bring in more followers, and any doubts, questioning, and dissent expressed against the leader is instantly squashed, discouraged, and even punished. Cultic followers invariably do bring about the destruction of a party because people start to lose rationale, reasoning, and humanity all to defend their leader and stop thinking of the country and Constitution because they have become very emotional and the others are suppressed or leave. Eventually, there will be a mass exodus of potential voters for INC due to the trolls.
How Some INC Warriors Turned into Trolls
The mentality of ridding the party of “hidden Sanghis” is like a husband divorcing his wife because he thinks she is unfaithful. Party volunteers have no idea who will vote for who in the end and to surmise some people are hidden BJP “Sanghis” is very fantastical. It seems these workers are dwelling on the realms of fantasy and fighting an imaginary battle with no real ammunition and no real outcome with no goal or purpose.
Firstly, who in the world has so much time or money to play double agent on social media, and if they do, it is not real, so why even give it so much importance? Is the party so weak that a double agent can shatter it to smithereens?
When a sudden group of INC trolls descends on a potential INC supporter with fake accusations, pulling out old DM tweets and sharing old timeline shots, it only reflects on a very distorted nature with no other purpose but to put down people for no real reason but a personal revengeful agenda or fanatical cultic personalities who aim to suppress. However, no orders are given by the higher echelons of Congress to attack anyone and this is really done at the lower levels, for whatever reasons they want.
Using the same methods as the BJP IT Cells to suppress their own supporters, assuming they are traitors, just because of a difference of opinion, or criticism which inevitably does rise but if INC is a democratic liberal party, freedom of expression is one of the powers it promises its voters, so to attack them on the same line is going to boomerang back on the party because voters will eventually voice that there is no difference between the fascist party and the democratic one.
INC Warriors need to be trained to translate the mobs into people with positive energy to potentially understand the power of the liberal democratic Constitution, the rights and power it will give everyone, Hindu, Muslim, Sikh, Christian, Buddhist, Parsi, atheist, Jew, and others alike. However, some of the warriors, turning trolls have developed a noxious policy to abuse the potential voters. A political party’s ultimate power is patience and work. One can learn from the RSS, which sat in the backyard for decades, worked on fields, and far away, and wooed potential voters with literature and personal outreaches.
RSS ideology over decades has convinced the voter with a well-marketed lie that INC is a party that hates Hindus and INC has to successfully have to gift to unite all the people-voters together on an equal platform, detoxifying the damage of BJP trolls and workers on streets, a lot that walks on streets are the VHP.
A Misdirected End
It almost reminds one of America, who gave weapons to Pakistan to fight destructive elements within Pakistan, but the ones given the weapons eventually became the new brand of terrorists which one day in the form of Al Qaeda struck America’s twin towers killing over 2000 Americans in a moment. INC trolls trolling their own party supporters and voters are going to lead to a mass exodus of potential party supporters because even one party supporter can bring in 100 more voters from their family and friends. These trolls will bring in such a massive loss and it is all because of some imaginary battle they are fighting in fantasy land.
It is often suggested to block these trolls but this is not the answer because, after that, they become more vengeful and start slandering the person who blocked them to such levels that the victims often leave Twitter but the abusers sit triumphantly on Twitter, looking for the next victim. It is suggested that these trolls get lessoned how to communicate constructively or be warned to be thrown out as troll volunteers if they keep on abusing others. Some method of discipline has to come up or the party will only lose in the end.
