May 29 – Beyond Ourselves
Ephesians 3:20: “Never doubt God’s mighty power to work in you and accomplish all this. He will achieve infinitely more than your greatest request, your most unbelievable dream, and exceed your wildest imagination! He will outdo them all, for His miraculous power constantly energizes you.”
God outdoes us always. He is going to do more than we can imagine. Imagine that!
So here, we have to look unto Him and not our situations, not our past, not our experiences, not our memories, but look upon Him. He says, “Do not remember the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.” (Isaiah 43:18-19).
Like Lot’s wife, we are not to look behind or the new thing He wants to do will immobilize us like a pillar of salt. God clearly warns us not to look to what was, but to fix our eyes on what is. He is about to do a new thing within us and in our lives.
In this situation, we are not to do things in the natural, but look on Him, be in His presence and He will open the new doors. If we try to, we will end up going through the wrong alley.
In this new move, the enemy wants to distract us, make us stagnant, unproductive and fruitless. Whenever God wants to do a new thing in our lives, Satan attacks us with distress, fights, conflicts, anger, etc. We must guard ourselves from his entrapments. God desires for us to experience His new blessing, but we have to realign ourselves to Him, wait on Him, worship Him, seek Him, and just enjoy His presence. within your life, but you cannot do so by remaining comfortable and complacent.
When He works in us, He ignites a fire within us and we become unstoppable for Him. We spread glorious Holy Fire around us.
God desires for you to ‘know’ there is MORE. You need to take the limitations off of God and of yourself. It is time for you to start functioning in the empowerment of what He has given you.
