March 8 – Courage before Kings

Exodus 5:  After this, Moses and Aaron went to Pharaoh and said, “The Lord, the God of Israel, says this: ‘Let My people go, that they may have a special supper to honor Me in the desert.’” 2 But Pharaoh said, “Who is the Lord, that I should obey Him and let Israel go? I do not know the Lord. And I will not let Israel go.

When we read history, we learn that the pharaohs of Egypt murdered by masses if they were displeased with anyone. It takes great courage to stand before a pharaoh. It will take us great courage to stand before an angry king or leaders of our nations too. Moses only did it because God commissioned him.  Unless God specifically tells us, don’t step into that avenue.  God gave Moses a promise He would deliver the people.  If we have such a promise from God, we can step into the pathway of kings, rulers and governments.

When we are sent by God, His power in us swallows up the wicked ones.  Aaron’s snake eats the other snakes of the magicians.  As we stand before leaders, rulers and kings of the world system, be sure that God has anointed you do to do and when you display His might, some would turn and believe. Do not rely on your own credentials, your big diplomas, your high influences, your eloquent speech or other people behind you, rely on God alone and His powerful anointing on your life.

When God is with you on a mission, His power judges the scoffers.  As we know, there were ten drastic plagues that came upon Egypt.  However, none of the plagues touched the people of Israel.  Today, if we are on a mission, God has to commission us and then we receive His protection.  None of the plagues will touch us.  This sends powerful signals to the enemies’ camp.

Our God-called commission will protect us.

Our pure walk with God protects us.

Our right purpose in life protects us.

Finally, Pharaoh had to give in and let the people go.  Sometimes, we have to speak up, as we do with our petitions, in a nonviolent way, or need to go to courts.  God has given all this for our protection.  As He gave the people a Moses, today, He assigns people to help us and He supernaturally rescues us. Eventually, our enemies have to recognize that God is with us, and who can fight God?
