Finding Courage Series
March 1 – Free from Fear
Genesis 20:11: Abraham replied, “I said to myself, ‘There is surely no fear of God in this place, and they will kill me because of my wife.’
Abraham’s fear of Chief Abimelech made him lie and project Sarah as his sister instead of wife. God in His mercy saved Abraham or they all would have been destroyed. Fear makes us do strange things. When out on the field, sharing the Good News, be free from fear because fear attracts demons. As a dog smells fear and attacks, demons too smell our fear and attack us. Be filled with the Holy Spirit, prayer, and a spirit of worship.
Fear of others makes some people aggressive. Mob violence is often driven by fear. Killers are afraid that the victim is tying to ruin their lives, so they set out to kill them. Most murderers are the biggest cowards.
Aggressive people lack courage. Bullies are always cowards. It is their fear which makes them clamp down others. A mad bull is seething with fear and becomes a predator violently killing people. If you check out the hormones in forensic labs, you will find the fear hormone, adrenaline at peaked levels. Never fear bullies for they have their weak spots.
Fear of losing life makes people compromise.
Fear of not having enough money allows people to be bought by money.
. If we are filled with the power of the Holy Spirit, fear will leave us. The scent of fear departs and God surrounds us and protects us. We will not even fear death if the hour comes to us in persecution. The peace of God surrounded the ones who died in the past. Nothing should make us afraid. Only the Holy Spirit can do that for us, remain in Him and not in the flesh and courage will be your strength and guardian!
Be anointed and filled with the power of the Holy Spirit, not with own flesh and rage, not with fear of the crowds, and not with fear of not receiving enough funds. Move forward in faith and God will open new pathways and anoint you more and more.
