Christ, of the Godhead, the Son, left His glory in Heaven to come down to Earth as a human. God created a perfect Earth. In the failure of executing free will in purity, the Fall plunged the Earth into spiritual darkness and things suddenly became chaotic. Christ according to Divine law had to come unto Earth as a human, live as a human, in order to become a sacrifice for the world. It has to be a perfect human and only He could do it because temptations were put before Him as any human but remained pure without any sin. The very first book of the Bible in Genesis prophesied the coming of Christ in the fullness of time. For God, fullness of time is key! Since the Fall, Satan, oppressed women, one of the binding curses which Christ broke on the Cross. On the Cross, Satan thought he had the victory when Christ died, but Jesus conquered death, on the Cross. Satan’s head was crushed through Jesus’ victory on the Cross, and Jesus heel was bruised by Satan, but He rose again and is ruling as Lord in the Heaven and Earth, crushing the power of darkness.
This was the prophecy!
Thus, He left His glory and came down!
On the night Christ was born, the Heavens were bustling with activity, joy and excitement and Luke 2:12-14: 12 This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.” 13 Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angels, praising God and singing 14 “Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom His favor rests.”
Once again prophecy from the Old Testament is fulfilled in Isaiah for the people in the world of darkness, sin, evil, murder, rape, incest, power control, conspiracies will see a great Light..hope and peace will be offered to them. The Love of Jesus will reach them. Those who receive and embrace it will be delivered from the darkness.
It is the will of God that all humans should receive the glory of God and peace; however, not every human accepts it. Peace is the cry of nearly every human today. Because of human rebellion against God and rejection of Christ, this peace only rests on those hearts who are not resisting Him and Kingdom children who love Him. They receive His favor and good pleasure. When Christ was born, the angels flooded the world singing and many shepherds sitting on their fields, around warm fires suddenly saw and heard them. The earth was filled with an unearthly peace that night due to the thick presence of angels saturating the atmosphere.
If only people would realize that joy and peace they would receive if they receive the Savior of the world, they would stop resisting Him. Today, we may not get world peace because the world system is not synonymous with the Kingdom of Heaven, but we can receive His joy and peace in our hearts personally. We can receive deep, lasting and eternal glorious peace of mind and heart brought about by the Incarnation of the God-man in Jesus Christ. This glorious peace would shine through us in violent tempests, raging storms, and when the Earth shakes and quakes, when people persecute us and try to deride and bring us down, we would remain in perfect abiding lasting peace.
Being in Christ, worshiping and obeying gives us abiding peace and joy. Be in the favor of God today so you can remain in that peace. Remain in Christ, follow Him, obey Him, worship Him and adore Him, for He is the “Prince of Peace” for all who make their peace with Him.
