January 8 – The Last Days of Glory -Devotional Thought

In the last days, the glory of God will be manifest very supernaturally…we are towards the end, but yet not quite there. We are going to see unusual times.

Until then, God wants us to remain in His presence…Glory is used to describe the manifestation of God’s presence. We often want a visitation, but God wants a habitation. We are the temple of His glory when we live in the Holy Spirit! “Christ in us is the hope of glory.” Christ wants us to carry His glory and not focus on a church building to carry His glory. While it is powerful when the Body of Christ meets together, it is more important that we carry His presence with us all the time. We are not limited to buildings! The Bible says the glory of the latter house shall be greater than the former as in Haggai 2:7. This glory will be greater because our belief in Christ with our ignited supernatural faith enabled the Holy Spirit Holy Spirit to manifest this glory. However, many cannot manifest this glory. Here are some practical ways to manifest His glory:

1. Surrender releases us more than we realize. Obedience is not weakness, Peter tells us that our souls are washed and purified as we obey the truth (1 Peter. 1:22). As we do this, God’s nature glows through us as His power flows through us. 2. We must be willing to go through fires of trial that refine us. The greater the fire of trial, the more we will come forth, glistening like gold. Purging catharsis heals us. 3. We have to allow His grace to change us, where we become vessels of honor. 4. We must be willing to reach out to people. The glory while gives us joy, peace and delights, is never all about only us. The glory is not to magnify us, but to magnify Christ. People who live for themselves will have that light of His glory taken away suddenly. A gift not used dies in us like a lamp whose flame extinguishes without the oil of the Holy Spirit.

Colossians 1:27: 27 To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

In John 17:22, Jesus said, “And the glory which You gave Me, I have given them.” We don’t seek His glory but His presence, and in His presence, His glory manifests to bring joy to the world, in darkness, in times of trial, in persecution, gives hope and comfort in winter and in seasons of summer.
