Leviticus 6:12: The fire on the altar must be kept burning; it must not go out. Every morning the priest is to add firewood and arrange the burnt offering on the fire and burn the fat of the fellowship offerings on it.
The fire on the altar has to keep burning, it must never stop. Remember, the Holy Spirit has poured His fire over 500 million people on Earth, filling them and igniting them to new life in the spirit. God reigns over all the Earth, doing miracles when the fire burns in the altar of our hearts. Remember, we are vessels that carry the fire now, not any priest but us.
As we carry the fire in our hearts, our boat cannot get rocked. When diseases try to ravage our bodies, the fire in us burns out those diseases. There are times when I have felt a headache, and prayed and felt a burning at the point of the headache and it disappeared! Also, other times, when I have terrible neck pain and pray, the fire burns at my neck and the pain goes away! Tormenting voices in our heads are burned out by the fire in the altar of our hearts. Weaknesses, addictions and burned down by the fire in the altar of our hearts.
We can keep the fire blazing by first cleaning up the dirt, mess, chaos in our lives. We cannot lead double lives, we have to be holy and consecrated unto Christ to enable the Holy Spirit fires to blaze in us.
We can keep the fire blazing by having a living deep all-day communion with the Holy Spirit. He is our helper, Mighty Holy One, who ignites us and empowers us for the day.
We have to seek fresh fire for the new day. Don’t live on the victories of yesterday. Put fresh logs into the fire. Fresh logs are reading the Word of God, inspirational spiritual books which stir up our spirits and encourage us, spend time in meditation and prayer.
You will then see that the fire in the altar of your heart will always blaze brightly and warmly, dancing with joy and bringing joy to thousands as well.
