Ghar Wapsi treatment was forced on two Christian pastors which has left the Christian community terrified.
The two pastors were humiliated and were taken inside a temple, made to sit in the temple corridor, and were forcefully applied with holy ash and kumkum smeared across their faces amid a cheering crowd. Screams of “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” filled the air. The man also threateningly asked the pastors how could they can distribute religious pamphlets.
The incident happened in Union Minister Pon Radhakrishnan’s Kanyakumari. The police have not registered a case claiming the matter was mutually resolved.
The anchor on CNN IBN reporting this was indignant and said, “India is a secular democracy and sadly, an incident like this should make us all hang our heads in shame.”
Indian news (in English) on Christian pastors in south India being forcibly converted to Hinduism Yet most of the western media keeps ignoring this rising tide of Hindu extremism.@BBCWorld @POTUS @CNN @FoxNews @hrw @UNHumanRights @AnthonyHopkins @SarahPalinUSA @Newsweek pic.twitter.com/574L4IYJUT — Abdul Hameed Lone (@HameedAPHC) November 27, 2021
Over the last few months, attacks on Christians are intensifying. Reports say that fifteen churches were attacked and people, including women, were brutally beaten in different places in India on Sunday, October 3, 2021.
Over the last few years, there have been increased attempts to suppress, intimidate and even kill Christians. Reports are not taken in and watered down.
Fake stories of forced conversions are floating around, but in reality, no one can force conversion.
The Mughals ruled for over six hundred years in India, the British for nearly two hundred years and Hindus still remain around eighty percent of the population. Christians remain 2% plus.
Of note, in USA and UK and other places in Europe, and Russia, Hindus have the freedom to worship and even propagate Hinduism freely. Yogic centers are all over the USA and the West with Krishna Centers and ashrams, temples.
If a Christian American or Westerner become a Hindu, the Hindutva devotees are joyous; however, if a Hindu becomes a Christian, violence, threats, and even killing ensues.
Westerners and Americans have espoused Hinduism, and they are not oppressed by their government for it.
Today, in India when Christians gather on Sunday mornings to worship God, their church doors are rammed open, pastors and even congregation in the church are beaten, sometimes so badly that they break their legs, break the churches and the Hindu fundamentalists make reports to the police that these Christians are converting the people to Christ. People gather in a house for a prayer meeting and the Hindu extremists barge in to stop them, declaring they cannot do that, as this is a Hindu country.
Today, pastors are taken to prison, or the lockup for claims of conversion. The violates are never punished for beating and even for killing Christians because most of their reports are not taken by the cops.
Recently, Nitish who lived in Bihar, a 14-year-old Christian boy was killed because he and his father and brother had converted to Christianity from Hinduism a few years back. Due to this, the family received a series of threats. One day, the village fanatics threw acid on him leaving him with 60% acid burns. He struggled for his life in agony for a few days and tragically died a week back on Saturday night. The police refused to register a case against the killers and the police write that he died of “suicide”! Nitish is survived by his father and brother.
Under the Preamble of the Constitution, we are looking for freedom, justice, equality, and integrity. Most Christians are scared to speak out and in the meantime, most of the Media hush up religious crimes. What message do attackers they want to give the world, one of violence to protect Dharma? Which Dharma teaches us to attack, intimidate and even kill?
