The number 4 in the Bible signifies wholeness and completeness. There are four letters in God’s name: JHVH.
Joseph had 4 dreams where an angel appeared to Joseph in a dream four times.
There are four rivers flowing out from Eden. Genesis 2:10, Pishon – Gihon – Tigris – Euphrates
There are four winds and beasts: “I saw in my vision by night, and behold, the four winds of heaven were stirring up the great sea. And four great beasts came up of the sea, different from one another.” Daniel 7:2
There are four angels: He will send out his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will elect from the four winds, from one end of the heaven to the other.” Matthew 24:31: Lazarus was in the grave for 4 days: “Now when Jesus came, he found that Lazarus had already been in the tomb four days.” John 11:17
The garments were made into 4 parts: “When the soldiers had crucified Jesus they took His garments and made four parts, one for each soldier..” John 19:23

The Creatures
In Revelation 4:6 – four creatures by the throne.
1. The first creature was like a lion.
2. The second creature was like a flying eagle.
3. The third creature was like a man.
4. The fourth creature was like a flying eagle.
Horsemen of the Apocalypse
In Revelation – the four horsemen of the Apocalypse.
1. The first horseman rides a white horse and carries a bow and is given a crown. His power is to conquer.
2. The second horseman rides a red horse and carries a sword and has the power to remove peace from the earth.
3. The third horseman rides a black horse and carries a balance. He has the power to bring famine into the world.
4. The fourth horseman rides a pale horse and carries a sword. His power is death and he is followed by Hades.
The four Angels: There are four angels standing on at the four corners of the earth, holding back the four winds of the earth. Revelation 7:1
There are four angels bound at the great river Euphrates. When they are released they bring death to a third of mankind. Revelation 9:14
And there will be a fourth great awakening too!
God is Calling out the Third Awakening Very Soon!
As the world is getting darker and more evil as it is prophesied in the last days it will be so, at the same time, the Light of Jesus will get brighter and more evident in these days. We believe there will be a very great awakening to arrive very soon that we informally call third wave, because of Matthew 24:14 14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.” The end speaks of the end of the age of Grace as after the Rapture is the Tribulation which is the age of Judgement and the fourth wave, which is the salvation of the Jews and other nations.
The Four Waves
The first awakening wave: This occurred at the time of Christ and after His resurrection and ascension. In a marvelous mysterious way, some nations turned to Christ after Christ’s ascension to Heaven, nations like England, Ireland, Scotland, who had Celtic origins, Greece, Rome, parts of the southern part of India, Armenia, and other surrounding nations around Israel, Nordics countries who originally hunters, fierce warrior people, Scandinavians and eastern Europe. No one can exactly pinpoint how they turned to God, because in those days, there was no media, television, newspapers etc., but we can surmise that the Holy Spirit was working mightily in hearts and lives and we had a large part of nations becoming Christians in huge tsunami waves.
The Dark Ages: The Dark Ages: The church went through a lull after that, for a long period and the dark ages crept in, in the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries where self life, avaricious hearts, lust, luxury, money power and pleasures rang strong. Christianity was looked upon something to be scorned. In those troubling times. The Roman Catholic church kept the Bible away from the laity, and inculcated many practices into the church against the Bible. A lot of sin was rampant in the church, and people had no idea about God and turned to worldly luxuries, and fleshy desires, while the spiritual life was dying. Things of God seemed very far away!
The Second Great Awakening: God in His love and mercy raised up a string of mighty preachers to preach and pray for revival by the seventeenth century and this went on until the nineteenth century, and nations saw another great awakening, through preachers like John Wesley, Charles Finney, Charles Spurgeon, Sadhu Sundar Singh, Pandita Ramabai, Smith Wigglesworth, Bakht Singh, and so many countless other anointed men and women. These revival swept on into the days of the early American revivalists where the tent meetings started and tens of thousands to a million came to the Lord to the times of Billy Graham. This all happened over 100 years back, but it is interesting that people thought that after this, the second coming of Christ would occur, which did not happen. God is going to send a third awakening before this occurs.
After the second awakening, sin crept in. People without pure hearts started using the tent meetings as a form of raising money, unlike the early evangelists who never even thought of money. Greedy people noted that evangelism did bring in money from grateful people who gave wholeheartedly. Soon, in their tent meetings, they started to send ushers with buckets to collect money. Materialism started clawing the hearts of evangelists and the new trend of demanding money, adultery and more started to rule the preachers, which was why the flow of the second wave ebbed.
Today we have many evangelical meetings, but we rarely hear of a clarion cry for repentance. Rather, evangelists keep telling the people that Jesus will heal them but they rarely speak of sin and the Savior so the power of revival ebbed and died down.
Sin rose higher and people watching the lives of sinful evangelists started to get discouraged and walked away. This gave birth to the rise of new cults of Satan. The New Age, which was a mix of eastern mysticism, Babylonian magic, and good teachings from different religions rose as a new dragon, rearing its huge head to gobble down millions of people from the West.
Christianity was now a ragged doll, wasted, used by preachers to do what they wanted, it became powerlessness to change lives because the vessels claiming to be from God were dirty, polluted and the anointing left them, save for a few good men and women of God.
Revival happens in trickles because of these faithful few, but the truth of our age is sin is crouching at the doors of billion hearts and conviction and repentance is a thing of the past. Today’s pastors are afraid to use the word “sin” “hell” and they water down the Gospel preaching fancy happy messages to keep the crowds comforted. So this is how the second wave receded and faded off with time.
The third wave awakening: The Bible prophesies and promises that in the last days in Joel 2: 28-32: There will be a mighty outpouring of the Spirit that will come upon all flesh for glory or for judgment. “‘In the last days, God says, I will pour out My Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams Acts 2:17. The third wave will differ from the past revivals.
It will no longer involve that single evangelist leader, but rather every believer! As we read this verse, it is written, I will pour My Spirit on ALL people, (believers and non-believers unto salvation). In the past revivals, the evangelist played the main role and the crowds looked up to him or her. But now, the Kingdom of God is advancing on Earth in greater glory to enable many, many believers to receive the gifts of the Spirit and participate in this awakening to impact people wherever they are.
As we are willing and waiting upon God, He will empower us to draw people to the Kingdom, He will empower us to do things beyond ourselves, and we will walk with Jesus in a different plain, on His heights, bringing in Light in the darkest places on Earth. This is the third awakening, far greater and brighter than all the awakenings in the past.
You may ask, why is it greater? The answer to this is:
1. The rise of darkness, sin and evil covers the earth and the greater the darkness and evil, the Lord will need to release greater glory on the Earth to give people one last chance.
2. As precursor the to fourth wave, God will release more angels all over the Earth to tear down demonic strongholds, this is the time and age that we need to ask God to send them to help us, and He will send them very swiftly. We need angelic intervention to destroy evil works and protect and shield us in the darkness that is raging.
3. God will suddenly send the intensity of His glory in the third wave so that believers can do more for the Kingdom, and battle the darkness through Him for we can do nothing on our own.
The fourth wave awakening: The grandstands of this awakening take place after Christ takes away the Church. The Church is never mentioned again after Revelation 3, which Christ took away the Church before the Tribulation because He did not want us to suffer the horrors of the Tribulation. But let Me reveal to you a wonderful secret. We will not all die, but we will all be transformed! (1 Corinthians 15:51)
Because you have obeyed My command to persevere, I will protect you from the great time of testing that will come upon the whole world to test those who belong to this world. (Revelation 3:10)
Christ will come to the Earth three times and the second and third are during the third wave, which is just before His Second Coming and at the end of the Tribulation, which is the fourth wave of awakening.
1. The First Coming, He comes as the Savior of the world: He came as a baby, born in a manger, lived and died as a man, separated from His divinity so that He would die for the sins of the people of the world. For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life (John 3:16).
2. The Second Coming, He comes as the deliverer of His Bride: He will appear in the clouds and in a twinkling of an eye, we will be transformed, not die and go up with Him, this event is coined in the word Rapture, where Christ will not stand or land on earth, but take us with Him up beyond the clouds.“And there will be strange signs in the sun, moon, and stars. And here on earth the nations will be in turmoil, perplexed by the roaring seas and strange tides. People will be terrified at what they see coming upon the earth, for the powers in the heavens will be shaken. Then everyone will see the Son of Mane coming on a cloud with power and great glory. So when all these things begin to happen, stand and look up, for your salvation is near!” (Luke 21:25-28) After this verse, we see the horrors of the Tribulation begin in Revelation 4 onwards.
His feet will not touch Earth this time, for He has come to take up His Bride and He will appear in the clouds.
3. The Third Coming, He comes as a judge, rescuer, and restorer: Christ will return again on Earth after the seven years of Tribulation. His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives. On that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, East of Jerusalem, and the Mount of Olives will be split in two from East to West, forming a great valley, with half of the mountain moving north and half moving south. (Zechariah 14:4).
In this event, He will judge Satan and his demons and bind them up for thousand years and He will establish the glorious thousand years of Millennium rule. However, this is temporary and this is not the Kingdom of God in fulfillment which will occur in Revelation 21 and 22. The Millennium rule is a glorious pause in the chapters of horrors of the Tribulation.
The Tribulation, in the fourth wave will have salvations which are different from the third wave. The Tribulation is salvation for the Jews who finally accept Christ as their Messiah, and the remaining people of nations to turn to Christ, when Jews, Arabs and Gentiles will call upon the Lord.
The angels will preach the Gospel flying across the Earth, which is not mentioned in Joel 2:28:32, so it appears to be a very different event. The only miracles in the Tribulation are performed by the two witnesses/prophets of God/Jews who will stand at the city square, prophesy disaster and judgment on the people, perform mighty miracles, and ultimately get killed, but they will be raised up again. During the Tribulation the 144,000 Jews will get saved as the first fruits of Israel, who will be the first believers of Jesus, Yeshua after the Rapture. The 144,00 saints will have a special seal of protection, but there is no record in Revelation that they did any miracles or saw dreams, visions or prophesied. However, during this time, the two witnesses will be anointed to share the Gospel and do miracles as mentioned earlier.
And the Fourth Time Jesus establishes His Eternal Rule on Earth: The Millennium Kingdom is a thousand year rule, and after this, Satan is released again.
In the Millennium, one would not need evangelism then as the whole earth is covered with supernatural knowledge of God infused with a heavenly atmosphere. Habakkuk 2:14 King James Bible For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea. During the Millennium, there would be no need for the empowerment of the Holy Spirit given to us in our fallen world, thus no need of dreams, visions or prophesy because we will dwell with the fullness of the knowledge of God in that perfect state.
The intense Glory of God will fill the earth during this era. The fullness of the knowledge of God will enlighten each human. Peace, love and joy will flood the earth, there will be no killing or death, no eating of animals and likewise animals will not kill. Isaiah 65:25 “”The wolf and the lamb will graze together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox; and dust will be the serpent’s food They will do no evil or harm in all My holy mountain,” says the LORD. They will not hurt or destroy in all My holy mountain, For the earth will be full of the knowledge of the LORD As the waters cover the sea.”
Suffering saints will finally get their reward and relief in the Millennium.
Joel 2 is not applicable to the Millennium, the era where Satan is bound for a thousand years where the Glory of God is displayed. The Millennium is an age of perfection, peace and purity where God’s Presence and divine knowledge of Him permeates the earth.
After the Millennium, Christ finally establishes His eternal kingdom is established on earth when the New Jerusalem in Heaven comes down on Earth. A New Heaven and a New Earth..
21 Then I saw “a new heaven and a new earth,”[a] for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea. 2 I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God. 4 ‘He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death’[b] or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.”
5 He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Then he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.”
6 He said to me: “It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. To the thirsty I will give water without cost from the spring of the water of life. 7 Those who are victorious will inherit all this, and I will be their God and they will be my children. 8 But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars—they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death.”
The age of the empowerment of the gifts of the Holy Spirit, miracles, signs and wonders are only needed in an imperfect world, thus Joel 2 can only refer to the time span before the Rapture, which is now, the third great awakening, which is right now at its thresholds to its releasing. Glory to God.
