Beyond the Valley of Fear

Beyond the Valley of Fear

Life can be as unpredictable as dark shifting shadows in a silent deathly valley with no answers to pounding questions. Sometimes the density of dark clouds overwhelms us to despair. The fear of the unknown grips us in paralysis, hearts trembling in the wicked whistling winds. Fear is a spirit that haunts our lives.

In Christ, He said, “Perfect love casts out fear.” We are to saturate ourselves in Divine Agape Love to wash away gripping fears. The only way to saturate yourself in Divine Agape Love is to sit in the presence of Jesus Christ, who is Love, God is Love and when we walk in Him in that valley of fear, His Love floods us and overpowers us. Nothing can hold us down.

The biggest fear we have as natural humans is the fear of death and the unknown. We often wonder what lies on the other side. Sometimes in waves of panic, we wonder if when we die, would we just fade into nothingness or wonder whether we would be greeted by demons dragging us to the pits. Oh, the fear of the unknown grips us like glue.

With the sting of death of a loved one, we may feel hopeless, weak as a weed tossed about in the wild wind, weeping like a brook that cannot stop with rivers of sorrow flowing out of our beings. The painful long lonely nights never end, and sadness is our close companion each day.

But wait! There is hope. Jesus is the Resurrection and the Life! Those who believe in Christ live forever. John 11:25: Jesus told her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in Me will live, even after dying. In Jesus, when we die, we have an ecstatic joyous end of this life journey crossing over to the next life, eternal life.

Just moments before our death, we have an intense sense of peace, the presence of angels surrounds us, and we find ourselves rising out of our shell bodies, feeling extraordinarily light. Flying up in the glinting rays of golden glory, glorious angels take us through, and some see Jesus Christ, the Light, flowing with intense liquid fire of Love, waves inundating and encasing us.

Some of us climb up a green hill bursting with beautiful sweet aromas of flowers and reach the pearly glowing gates of Heaven. Revelation 21:21: The twelve gates were twelve pearls, each gate made of a single pearl. The great street of the city was of gold, as pure as transparent glass.

In Christ, death becomes a promotion and a celebration. The wonder of death in a believer is that the families behind who are sorrowing are suddenly surrounded by a blanket of comfort of the Holy Spirit. John 14:26: But the Comforter, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.” Understanding and comfort and greater awareness sharpens us who grieve for our loved ones. The Holy Spirit gives us spiritual insight and understanding so that we also know we will see our loved ones one day.

Walking in the valley of fear with Jesus Christ, Yeshua, daily, we experience new peace that strengthens us from within. Shalom peace becomes our inheritance and the valley of the shadow of death transforms into valleys of springs of living water with flowers dancing in warm glinting sunlight, . Fear turns into love which drives out the shadows of fear and love holds and hugs us through this life so finally, in the face of death, we rejoice and sing with Christ, O Death, O Hell, O Satan, O Fear where is your sting, Jesus has overcome all, seated in the highest heavens in glittering golden glory, He has conquered, sin, death, and paralyzing fear!

John 14:2-4:2 My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you?3And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with Me that you also may be where I am. 4 You know the way to the place where I am going.”

1 Corinthians 15:55: “Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?”
