August 4 – Unity
Psalm 133: 1: How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity!
One of the greatest troubles we have today is unity. I believe that people are at different levels of growth, but the way we respond to each other still must have the presence of Love.
The most powerful weapon is prayer. Instead of condemning people, we should pray for them. Instead of judging the things they do, their rudeness, awkwardness, our differences, religion etc, we should pray for a touch from God for them. We should pray for love between us and them.
God loves the whole world, so we have to love all. All are precious to God. They are trying to walk uphill though the slope may be too steep for them at times. All are at different levels of growth. Circumstances under pressure made each person different and unique, some a little stronger and some a little weak. God picks broken people from the dung and mud and takes their scars and turns them into stars.
We are unaware of their sad stories, their childhood abuse, family abuse, unaware of the loved ones they lost, unaware of any illnesses they have. We really don’t know anything about anyone, so at this time, let’s stop judging and do the loving!
We all have a mission to achieve and a beautiful tapestry to weave. Time is short on Earth so may we learn to redeem the time. Be lights in the world spreading God’s light everywhere. We are pilgrims on Earth, this is not our eternal home, so all our petty issues will fade away. One day, we will live in the New Earth, which is the New Heaven come down on Earth. The joy, the rewards and the wonders we experience then will be rewarded in greater measures in the light of how we lived on Earth today, the Bible tells us not to judge and to love one another, so if we obey this very important commandment, then all things will fall into place.
Zechariah 9:12: The LORD their God will save His people on that day as a shepherd saves His flock. They will sparkle in His land like jewels in a crown.
As we live in unity and harmony in love, we will sparkle like jewels in a crown in His eternal Kingdom on Earth. If we lived in hatred, judgement, and “righteous rage,” we will lose rewards in the eternal Kingdom of God. Let’s learn to love and live. We cannot agree with evil and wrong, but instead of spewing out judgement, pray for them, and God will do the rest.
