August 29 – The Kingdom of God is Within You
Luke 17:21: “Nor will they say, ‘See here!’ or ‘See there!’ For indeed, the Kingdom of God is within you.”
While the Kingdom of God is a literal place, when Heaven comes down on Earth and God makes a new Heaven and Earth, the Kingdom of God is in us when we are born again in His Spirit. We have a witness of it with a suddenly blazing through our spirits, a lifting up, a quickening or an urgency to do something new. God will suddenly light up our minds to a new truth. It is quite exciting to witness that supernatural opening in our lives.
Our spiritual walk with the Holy Spirit must be guarded fiercely. We are watchmen and watchwomen on the wall. This verse had been shared many times and it lights a new truth: Matthew 11:12: “And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.” This verse calls us to be prayer warriors. As violent as the world system is with us, ruled by demons, principalities and powers, we too have to intercede with violent, forceful prayer because Satan is keeping souls in bondage. Millions are living in darkness, deceived and call right wrong, and the wrong right.
In order to grow in Spirit, we need to surrender all to God and meditate and pray, and as we do that, in obedience, He will reveal the hope of your calling.
Jesus brought the kingdom of God to Earth and His presence gave the people a taste of the kingdom life. Jesus said, but if I drive out demons by the finger of God, then the kingdom of God has come upon you” (Luke 11:20). If we truly walk in the Sprit in obedience, these miracles will happen. These wonders will be far more glorious in the New Heaven and Earth
In Luke 17:21 that the kingdom of God is within you (or among you): 1) the kingdom of God is essentially inward, within man’s heart and this is only possible through the indwelling Holy Spirit in you.
Each day, we have the ability to make good choices, the Kingdom is within our reach. If we are born again in Spirit, we have no excuses because the Holy Spirit is within our reach, to enable us to choice the right way. We will not be overcome by temptation as He will strengthen us.
The Kingdom of God is in our midst. We are walking in the Presence of Jesus with His angels surrounding us, so we walk in the midst of angels and Christ’ glory.
We can live our best lives on Earth, because we walk in the midst of God’s glory when we are prayerful in Spirit, sharpened by the Word, drinking Living Waters. Lo, the Kingdom of God in us brings healing, life, salvation, deliverance, love, hope, joy and peace!
