April 3 – The Shoes I Walk In
Our feet here means to stand firm. Shoes protect us from heat, cold, rough terrain, sharp rocks, broken glass pieces, thorns, hedges and brambles. Cut and bruised feet make us weak and vulnerable.
Shoes give us firm grip to climb slippery slopes, marshy grounds, slithery moss, or even vitrified glossy floors! Our shoes give us good grip and firm traction. The word preparation here is hetoimasia, refers to being in the condition of preparedness.
Second, the Word of God brings peace. Isaiah said, ” How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that proclaims peace, that bringeth good tidings of good!” If a person is in harmony with God, he is in harmony with the Universe that God created and peace with himself and God is at peace with him.
His Holy Presence brings deep peace into the world, but if the world is in disharmony, they reject the His Words and never get the peace, but the peace remains with those who receive it. We got tremendous Peace when we are in harmony with God and worship HIm” This is a fact!
Charles Spurgeon said, “A good character is the best tombstone. Those who loved you and were helped by you will remember you when forget-me-nots have withered. Carve your name on hearts, not on marble.”
Ephesians 6:15: and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.
We must:
Everyday, walk with God.
Take His pathways, not your own. Listen to Him.
Remain rooted in God, peace will remain and prevail.
This will make your feet steady and ready to walk in difficult places.
Where ever you go, you carry His peace, rooted in Him.
When you speak, the Holy Spirit leads you to share His words and thoughts.
When the enemy tries to hit you, you will not stumble or fall for your feet are secure!
When we “stand firm” we may be able to resist in the evil day.
