Treading down the enemy in the mire of the streets in battle; And they will fight, for the LORD will be with them; And the riders on horses will be put to shame.
April 24 – Angels and Prayer Warriors
Zechariah 10:5: They shall be like mighty men in battle, trampling the foe in the mud of the streets; they shall fight because the Lord is with them, and they shall put to shame the riders on horses.
In times of persecution and normal times, we need to ask God to also send His angels to protect us on the day of battle. The night before Peter was to be placed on trial, he was asleep, fastened with two thick chains between two soldiers. Others stood guard at the prison gate in Acts 12:6 NLT. Peter was imprisoned, yet innocent, and he would have been killed. The power of prayers of the people provoked divine intervention that thwarted the evil plans of the enemy and we see that their prayers sent an angel to help Peter. When we pray for ourselves, God dispatches angels to help us in line with His promise in Hebrews 1:14, which says, “Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation?
God sends His special agents, angels to strengthen us, encourage us and often show us the way, open pathways and remove blocks. Angels add their strength to your prayers and remove demonic blockages.People have often shared of angels released over a nation for powerful spiritual warfare. On one account, I read that something good was to happen to a country, but the demonic fog was too thick and finally only through prayer and the release of angels was the atmosphere cleaned up and great things happened.
I always pray for release of angels over my nation to clear up the atmosphere and cause the demonic stronghold to come tumbling down. When I pray this way, I sense tremendous release and peace and my prayers are evidenced by the news I see on television where a certain light is thrown into an area of darkness and people are alerted to this truth. I know many others are out there praying too.
The secret of spiritual warfare is about Divine shifts into the will of God. The purpose of warfare is to shift the atmosphere into alignment with God’s plans. When we start to pray, alignment happen in the spiritual realm and then in time, it comes to pass in the physical realm as in Daniel 10:12-13, 20-21. These alignments require angelic help to shift the atmosphere into God’s plans. This is how God accomplishes change in a nation, which is why God raises intercessors. The Bible speaks of an innumerable company of angels available. Heaven’s army of angelic hosts is waiting for their next assignment and ready to be dispatched. Jeremiah 33:22 says, “As the host of heaven cannot be numbered nor the sand of the sea measured.” “But you have come to Mount. Zion and to the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels” (Hebrews 12:22). These angels are waiting to be summoned by God and can only be released on earth for tasks and assignment by our prayers.
Angels are constantly moving and working, involved in both the spiritual and practical affairs of Earth. They hold back the tide of tremendous evil. If angels are removed from the earth, the rise of evil would escalate out of control,courts would be closed, millions murdered, killed, raped and national disasters unleashed with demonic vengeance over the Earth.
