April 21 – When you are at your lowest, look at The Highest
It is often when we are at our lowest ebbs that we remember God! Otherwise we are pretty self made people. I have seen that when people are down, they look up. Otherwise, when life is comfortable, they really just pray perfunctory standard prayers with no heart or soul involved.
Why should we wait for something bad to happen to remember our Creator? He is present, loves us and when we connect to Him, we instantly get strength, peace, love and joy and much more. He is the Highest. In Him, we live and move and have our being.
He says in Isaiah, …25“To whom will you liken Me, or who is My equal?” asks the Holy One. 26Lift up your eyes on high: Who created all these? He leads forth the starry host by number; He calls each one by name. Because of His great power and mighty strength, not one of them is missing.”
The one who created all is more than able to take care of our pains and sorrows. We may ask why God is not taking away the pandemic. Well, I do believe that out of this, something greater will happen. Our perceptions will change, but of course, it is tragic that lives were lost, but God will bring out a higher purpose through it all. He can with a sweep end the pandemic, but for a mysterious reason, it is lingering. Perhaps humans were still greedy, playing politics, trying to sell life saving drugs in the black market, making money of out people’s pain, this is to our shame. And thus, humankind is still greedy, selfish, cruel and indifference is still there.
Purging and cleansing has to come, so the pandemic still lingers. It will leave the minute humankind starts to show mercy to one another. Miracles will happen, but till then, the ones who rule the nation are still hard and wicked only looking for their own benefits and hence, evil is not purged of the land.
Our lives would change if we start looking up to God each day, some things to meditate on when we look up to Him

So always remember, when you are at your lowest, look to the Highest, pray, worship, meditate, call unto Him and He will show you great and mighty things. The Bible: Jeremiah 33:3: Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.
