April 15 – Let your lamps keep burning
Deception clouds our vision. That is the enemy’s foremost strategy! Stumbling in darkness, we suddenly lose the edge of things, and get loose, light, compromised, and weak. People get compromised and start losing their fire. They are letting things happen to them, becoming sluggish and dull.
Once this happens, they enter into another dimension, gray and shady, where suddenly they perceive things differently. When they start becoming greedy for position, power, money, and recognition, they can change their value systems. We have seen simple, powerful people suddenly changing with a new rise in position to be more world-centric and shallow-centric.
It is remarkable that the greatest people were the simplest people in the world, they are clear and had a good conscience and light of truth burning within them.
Like a lamp, dispelling the darkness of ignorance. Dalai Lama
Even a single lamp dispels the deepest darkness. Mahatma Gandhi
I have but one lamp by which my feet are guided, and that is the lamp of experience. Patrick Henry
If you want a love message to be heard, it has got to be sent out. To keep a lamp burning, we have to keep putting oil in it. Mother Teresa
God’s Word is a lamp, a light that illuminates the darkness. If a person walks through the woods at night, he is well served to have a flashlight with him to shine it on the ground in front of him so that his feet do not trip over a snag in the path, or his shins do not encounter a boulder or fallen log. That is what light does: It illuminates or reveals.
God’s Word illuminates the path of our lives. If we keep God’s Word shining along the way, then we will be far less likely to trip. We will not be easily deceived. Because we are following the light, we will see what the light reveals in the path ahead of us. It is only when we turn the light off (before we have actually arrived at our destination) that something could spring up in the dark and trip us. Therefore, if we keep the light of God’s truth shining brightly ahead of us, then we have a greater chance of avoiding deception. Richard T. Ritenbaugh
In the spiritual realms, negative forces work against us. Mind-blinding rakshas keep people from seeing the Truths and they lie easily. They are dull and clogged up and nothing is clear. If something is wrong, they cannot identify it is wrong. Everything becomes distorted and they start compromising big time or just cannot see things in the Light.
Their thinking processed are blocked and they are blocked spiritually. The mind is in bondage, tied up, tight, stressed, and angry all the time because such cannot healthily work out their thought processes.
Living this way, one becomes a sooty old lamp with wicks untrimmed. The oil inside the lamps get dry because one lives in shaded smoky realms away from truth and light, believing lies and deception.
Religious rituals cannot change our minds or our lives, but pure communication with the Creator, the One who made us changes us.
The more we walk in light, truth and communicate with God, our “batteries” suddenly get charged up, and we see things in a different way and pray in a renewed way with new energy for God renews our physical strength too as well charging up our spiritual lives.
Rise up and trim your wicks daily and let God pour in His oil to light your lamps daily glowing with His fire.
