They thought they were on an enlightened path But they never understood the Creator’s heart They drank bitter galls and ate rotten fruit And worms within them gnawed with hate Reveling in an ideology to kill and abominate Raging, abusing, they felt infallibly great But each day they are slipping towards the abyss Where nightmares scream and horrors call To the pit of ghouls where snakes creep and crawl Sliding down and slipping into further darkness The waves are thrashing in that starkness Their end is drawing near like a cruel thief Because they drank from the darkness in unbelief Judgement shrivels them to a dying fading black leaf Hurling down the abyss they cannot stop their fall They will drown in the destiny of their hate-filled cry and call
