The Weight of Glory – Jan 7

The Weight of Glory – Jan 7

In the Bible, 1 Kings 8:11, a majestic temple was built by King Solomon where the Shekinah glory filled the temple as the king dedicated it to God. The presence of God was so strong that the priests could not continue ministering because of the cloud of glory.

King David could never build the temple of God because he fought bloody wars thus, the legacy fell on his Solomon, to build the temple. In life, violence begets violence, and nothing fruitful can happen in atmospheres of toxicity and virulent words.  In places where hate is propogated, the social harmomy, economy, and the fruitfulness of that nation is destroyed.  We have seen nations like this isolated.  The nations with the highest quality of life have the greatest religious tolerance, acceptance, and peace.  As long as Earth is there, we will have diversities of races, religions, colors, and ethnicities.  We cannot wipe out races because they are different from us. The greatest test the Creator gave us humans is to love all in our differences.  Could the Creator who made all teach everyone to hate each other?

In a house full of quarrels and fights, nothing good ever happens and situations get bad to worse.

Living in peace, enables God’s glory to touch a place and that glory transforms us. We are not perfect but in presence, we experience Divine glory. We are not confined to places but carry presence just by the weight of our thoughts. If our thoughts are base, ugly, peevish, and bitter, we cannot carry the weight of greater glory.

Glory is never about ourselves, but it is being immersed in a greater power because we have chosen to think higher than ourselves.
