The Power of the Cross – Poem

The Divine Transaction

Christ made a new way for us When He stepped down From His might in Heaven Leaving behind His Godly glory Born on earth one starry night Not as a mighty king He limited Himself To a fleshy earthly Man He humbled Himself To seek and save the lost He came down to Earth To buy back The Kingdom of God From the grasp And rule of Satan To save the world From eternal hell

A stumbling stone To many millions Who hated Truth and Light Offending conceptions Of worldly people Didn’t understand His Holy Divinity They cursed Him With profanities

Yet on the Cross He died A victor’s death Broke the curse To give Eternal life When we believe in Christ Repenting of our lives So lost in deep sin A Divine transaction Starts to begin…

Maker of the Divine Exchange He broke the curse of death So we could live forever He broke the curse of sickness So we could be healed He broke the curse of sin So we could live in purity He broke the curse Of the kingdom of darkness So we could walk daily Filled with His Spirit In our earthly jars of clay And then one day In His Eternal Kingdom We will live forever more

Galatians 3:13: Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is very one that hangeth on a tree

John 10:10: The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.

John 11:25: Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in Me will live, even though they die;
