They say stolen waters are sweet Keep you dizzy, happy and upbeat And you feel the blazing heat But stolen waters in time can turn bitter Because truth starts to be a hard hitter Suddenly you cannot own what’s not yours Suddenly you see the hedges and the door You walked through in territory not yours Positions shift and definitions are drawn Suddenly seasons change and the day is gone A horizon looms in the distance of a gray dawn Lonely, and stumbling, those golden glow was gone Tired with broken heart, hurting, and worn Those waters that were sweet turned to bitter storm So drink from your own waters, be content with your life Only then will you find peace within and end all strife
Proverbs 5:15: Drink water from your own cistern, And running water from your own well.
