Merry Christmas! Joy and Peace on Earth to All

As the world celebrates the Birth of the Savior who left Heaven to enter Earth as a human baby, let us learn the story behind Christmas.

In the first book of the Bible in Genesis, God promised a Savior to the world.  This happened after He made a golden utopia, the Garden of Eden, meant to be free of death, sorrow and pain where the people would live forever. However, on accord of the seed of disobedience, Adam and Eve allowed the entry of darkness and evil to rule the Earth.  After the talking  Serpent in the Garden who was really Satan enticed humans to go against God, God Almighty spoke to the Serpent and said, in Genesis 3:15:

And I will put enmity

    between you and the woman,

    and between your offspring and hers;

He will crush your head,

    and you will strike His heel.”

The striking of the heel was on the Cross was when Jesus Christ died on the Cross where Christ came to die for humankind to enable humans to enter glorious Heaven through taking the Fall of humankind on Himself thus breaking the curse of separation from humans and God according to the Bible.

The Bible teaches that God will ultimately make a new Heaven and Earth to restore the glory of the Garden of Eden, which is presently hidden from the world and no one can find entry into the Garden presently.

The Old Testament in the Bible gives hundreds of prophecies of the Savior of humankind, Christ called the Messiah and the Son of God, this does not mean that God has a wife, He obviously does not, but that Christ was begotten of the Father, close and part of Him. Mary was a vessel on Earth chosen to bring Christ into the world and the seed of Christ was planted in her by the supernatural power of the Holy Spirit, which is why Mary is called Virgin Mary.

Isaiah 9:6 in the Old Testament of the Bible is one of the prophecies of the Messiah, thousands of years before Jesus Christ was born on Earth, He was in Heaven.

6 For unto us a child is born, unto us, a Son is given: and the government shall be upon His shoulder: and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Philippians 2:5-8

Who, being in very nature[a] God,

    did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage;

7 rather, He made himself nothing

    by taking the very nature[b] of a servant,

    being made in human likeness.

8 And being found in appearance as a man,

   He humbled himself

    by becoming obedient to death—

        even death on a cross!

9 Therefore God exalted Him to the highest place

    and gave Him the name that is above every name,

10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,

    in Heaven and on Earth and under the earth,

11 and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord,

    to the glory of God the Father.

Luke 2:12-14:  12 This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.” 13 Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying,  14 “Glory to God in the highest heaven,  and on Earth peace to those on whom His favor rests.”

It is the will of God that all humans should receive the joy and peace of God.

When Christ was born, the angels filled the  world singing songs and also a song Joy to the World and many shepherds sitting on their freezing fields in the cold winter were soaking up the warmth from their bonfires when they suddenly saw and heard them. The Earth was filled with an unearthly peace that night due to the intense presence of angels saturating the atmosphere.

The peace that Christ offers the world is synonymous with the Kingdom of Heaven and He brings deep peace to the soul because the Bible says He made the way to Heaven and the birth of Christ on Earth was for that sole purpose.

This glorious peace blazes in our hearts in violent tempests, raging storms, and when the Earth shakes and quakes when people persecute us and try to deride and bring us down, we would remain in perfect abiding lasting peace.   The Bible says He is the “Prince of Peace” for all who make their peace with Him.

Joy to the World as the angels sang over the Earth on the night Christ was born.

God bless you and may you have lasting peace, as we pray for peace and work for peace.  May you have a joyous merry, peaceful Christmas filled with the overflowing love of God.

Rita
