Autumn leaves gently fall Before that final closure The air seems so final Cold, thick and silent Numbing pain grips us While sweet sleep flies away Long nights we keep wondering Where our loved one went
We walk down Lonely long whistling corridors Creaking doors, loud echoes And sharp memories Regretting things we said Or should not have said Wishing we have poured out More love instead Wishing we had done more And talked more
But our precious loved ones They know, they know Knowledge in Heaven Increases with a Holy glow They know we love them As love crosses all realms All is forgiven As they live in the Land of Glory Rejoicing, they want us To go on and be happy
Taking little steps We go forward with Him every day Going through our process Of healing to release His joy As the Comforter daily Holds and embraces us He wants us to know Our loved ones Could never be more joyous
As we walk closely with Him on earth We will ascend To transcend the chains of pain And to know in spirit That our loved ones too Patiently in Heaven wait And when we reach Heaven God, angels and our loved ones Will swing open Heaven’s Pearly glowing Gates For death is just a gateway That we must pass through And finally meet with God And all our loved ones too!
And our pets too!
