The shoes we walk in have to be firm, if not, one will fall.
April 3 – The Shoes I Walk In
Our feet here means to stand firm. Shoes protect us from heat, cold, rough terrain, sharp rocks, broken glass pieces, thorns, hedges and brambles. Cut and bruised feet make us weak and vulnerable.
Shoes give us firm grip to climb slippery slopes, marshy grounds, slithery moss, or even vitrified glossy floors! Our shoes give us good grip and firm traction. The word preparation here is hetoimasia, refers to being in the condition of preparedness.
Second, the Word of God brings peace. Isaiah said, ” How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that proclaims peace, that bringeth good tidings of good!” If a person is in harmony with God, he is in harmony with the Universe that God created and peace with himself and God is at peace with him.
